What an insane last couple of weeks. Thankfully I now have time to take a breath and RELAX. And update my blog, of course.

Google/Blogger has changed the way we update. The sign-in and page set up are different. Not worse, just different. I am sure I will get used to it.

Wow did this movie suck. We saw it last weekend, and it was terrible. All CGI, all of the time. And Hugh didn't even look as hot as normal. Mmmmm, Hugh...

Not to be all political, but this makes my day. I am humiliated for my country and the path it has taken for the last 3 years, but I now have some hope. I wish that hope wasn't based on Kerry, though.

Yay! Rupert won! I know some people hated him, but they were wrong. Oops! I should be careful. Someone Impotant works there, you know.

OK -- too busy to update. I know, I know, I've set certain expectations and then I have not met them.

To tide you over, here are some thoughts:

1) I know we can't leave Iraq, but my lord, PLEASE tell me that we are planning to do something about this shit.

2) Happy Birthday to JP -- you are the best ever. The best what, you might ask? Well.... maybe later.

3) Sigh -- I am so over American Idol after this season. Did you watch that boring retread show last night? Why do they give Ryan a mike?

4) Remeber, only YOU can prevent the country from getting worse. Get out and start talking -- and get the foursome of evil out of office and into jail where they belong.

Let me get this straight: He denies that he is trying to price-control gas prices right before the election, he is sad about Spain's *sudden* removal of troops from Iraq (while the rest of us have known that it will be happening for about 1 month, ever since the new government's ANNOUNCEMENT that they intended to leave), and he is asking for a renewal of that brilliant law that saps us of our civil rights, the patriot act.

I have to tell you that I am thinking of moving to another country. I love the ideal of the USA, but NOT the current reality. That madman, and his equally horrible buddies, scare the shit out of me. Please, please, PLEASE, everyone -- VOTE this fall.

Screw tax cuts: This once again proves that the American people are ten times more intelligent that the non-elected American leader. I dispise that man.

To make matters worse, there is no American Idol because of his desperation speech. It's on tomorrow, instead. Yes, that's fair. Not only do I have to miss my favorite show, I have to avoid the television all night because that moron is on it.

Huh. A polite peeping tom? What's next -- an intelligent President Bush? (from Yahoo! News)

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Reuters) - An apologetic Peeping Tom in northern Arkansas left a $20 bill and a note for his victim asking if she would not mind if he peered at her outside her window, police said on Friday.

The note and the cash were found on Monday night at an apartment complex in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Police said the writer of the letter apologized for looking into the window. They said the letter appeared to have been written on a personal computer.

Police would not release the note because the case is under investigation.

"It's kind of an odd case," said Mountain Home police Sgt. Nevin Barnes.

Also in the news today, Quentin Tarantino is the next guest judge on American Idol. Now this I HAVE to see.

A couple of things: I love watching American Idol, but what the hell was up with the show tonight? Moreover, is the very stupid American public going to vote off Jennifer, despite her amazing song? I think, if they do, that will be the end of watching it for me. Which should make my friend Kathy very, very happy.

Also, is there anything more disgusting and terrible than The Swan in television history? Sure, you would have an argument for Who Wants to Marry... anyone on television, but I think this is worse. And I thought politics were bad.

Speaking of politics, THIS makes me smile. I'm not against sites like these by themselves (besides, I am hoping to use one of these sites to meet a certain someone,) but this is cool.

You know, I love Angel as much as the next guy, but $22,000? That's incredible. I just hope that TPTB pay attention and get around to saving the show.

Also, I don't think I understand the American public. Janet Jackson shows a little nipple, and the world comes to a dead stop. Courtney Love strips MULTIPLE TIMES and the world doesn't pause. Go figure.

OK, so in addition to my Velcrometer love, I guess I should tell you more about myself. I think the best way to do that is to tell you about some of the other sites that I frequent. That way you can understand my sense of humor without my pointing at something and saying "Look -- funny".

Of course, I love most of the Damn Hell Ass Kings , or at least the funny ones. Sure, some of them sorta blow, but you look for the good ones.
I also like Little Yellow Different when he is posting, and I love I'm Dateless which is wonderful.

Hmmm -- most of the site I read are written by men. I wonder if that says something about me.

What sucks more than a first post? My favorite blog on the planet, Velcrometer did it best when he pretended to be in the middle of a conversation, but as that has been done I shall have to pass.

No real bio here. Late 20s, in a relationship, and a writer. I am doing this because I have it on very good authority that maintaining a blog can help to improve your writing and possible even result in a *real* writing job, and thus I embark. DO not expect this to be a daily blog, however. I don't have that kind of patience.

Besides, it's best to always keep them wanting more. I read that somewhere, as well.
